This applies to EVERYONE: I started this thing to put down how I feel about things at a certain time. When I want to talk, but feel like I can't. It's really just that simple. If you don't like it, I'm sorry. I'm not out to make anyone feel like they're being put down. If you feel that way, there must be some truth in what I'm saying.

Song of the Day: "Would?" - Alice In Chains

Well, I'm a bit angry with myself. I have this wonderful new laptop, and thinking to myself, "Hey, it's all new. It should be able to run most anything I put to it", I go buy an assload of games for my new friend. One of those games happened to be Quake 4.

Apparently, my system doesn't meet the standard qualifications needed to run the game. I launch the game, get a gray screen, and then get sent back to my desktop with no error message. Odd. I've patched it, I've searched the web for solutions, I've visited the Activision website mentioned in the back of the manual for help, and to no avail. So now I'm gonna have to wait to play that. Oh well, I've got tons of shit my laptop before wouldn't play, so I think I'm pretty set on games for a while.

Goddamn, I love to be distracted.

I'm also liking this new keyboard I picked up earlier today. It's a Saitek, but the keys light up blue and match all the other blue shit I've got going on in my computer room.

It was strange having so many people over earlier tonight. It wasn't bad, mind you, but I haven't had an impromptu party in what feels like such a long time that I didn't know what to do.

I feel bad, mainly because I like to have people over but I never really have anything to do. Most times we all just sit around (or stand until I get my stools) and stare blankly at each other, raise our eyebrows, ala Erich, and give a sigh.

I'm sorry I suck. :p

I head out to Peoria on Thursday and I'll be back early Saturday afternoon. Hopefully we'll be able to make a buck on this trip.

Song of the Day: "Lonely Train" - Black Stone Cherry

Quick post.

I'm out to Springfield today. I come home tomorrow night (Wednesday)

Insert one day off here.

I leave again Friday for Columbia and don't come back until Sunday. I'll be working with Jeff, Nix's closer.

Joe was here last night and brought his keyboard for me. I hope to have some playtime with it soon.

I can't wait for Halloween this year. I'm hopefully gonna have the cash to decorate like I want. That sounds gay, but fuck you. It's Halloween.

Song of the Day: "Blank" - Failure

I'm slightly surprised by how heavy the new Stone Sour is. I really don't know how I like Corey better. Slipsour or Stoneknot? You tell me. Either way, they sound like a band name.

At any rate, I'm still in Evansville, and things are not going so great. I haven't had a trip like this in quite a while. I forgot what it's like to have a room full of assholes every night.

Moving along, I've picked up a couple new games since I'm not making any money. The two I got were "F.E.A.R." and "The Movies". I've played both, and "The Movies" is kinda like a strange version of "The Sims". At least, that's what it seems like to me. I'm just glad I can run that shit now. My old laptop couldn't do much of anything but aggravate me. POS.

Mmm, mmm, mmm, burr.

Song of the Day: "Bleed" - Soulfly

And now, for a post.

Things have been somewhat hectic, but smooth, over the last few weeks. With the move, unpacking, and making sure this place is actually looking like someone is living here is a bigger task than I thought. But I am happy, and I think Amanda is too now that all is pretty much said and done here. All that's left is to get some stools and a table and everything here will pretty much be in order.

I also have a new lappy. HP Pavillion. I'm not too sure of all the specs, but it has 100 GB HD, which was something I was looking for. Who isn't looking for more space?

I'd also like to congratulate Nix on being number 1 in our territory. I'm horrible about calling people, and when I do call him his line is busy or he's not home. So...

@Nix: Congratulations, man. I'm happy for you, and I'm happy you'll be the number one rookie this year too. I hope you're around to enjoy it, and not "locked up" in something else.

Otherwise, I'm off to Evansville this afternoon. Like I haven't spent enough time there this year. It really seems like the rednecks are getting married a lot faster these days. I'd like to know whose money they're using because, so far as I know, they're all broke.

I've gotta get cracking and get packing. I also gotta get this lappy loaded up with all my fun stuff from my old one, so I got that going too. Fun times ahead. I'll talk at you all later.
